Song of the week

Hey Guys,

It's Daisy, I've recently got into Youtube, I mean am obsessed with it! So while scrolling down I found this girl called Doddleoddle; her real names Dorothy Clark which she shortens to Dodie, she's 18, she does covers of songs and also writes original songs. The song i'm in love with and have to listen to every single day is 'Absolutely Smitten'. Everybody should go and subscribe to her because she's got such a lovely voice and very talented.

Book Review: The Mortal Instruments - City of Bones

Hi Guys,

It's Holly here, I am reviewing a book called 'City of Bones', which is the first  in a series of of the 5 'Mortal Instruments' books, written by Cassandra Clare. The books were so popular that Clare has written a prequel trilogy, The Infernal Devices, and a sequel trilogy, The Dark Artifices. I bought this book after the series was  recommended to me by a friend, she said the books were amazing so I thought I would try them out, I thoroughly enjoyed City of Bones and can't wait to read the next book!

'Clary Fray is seeing things: vampires in Brooklyn and werewolves in Manhattan. Irresistibly drawn towards a group of sexy demon hunters, Clary encounters the dark side of New York City - and the dangers of forbidden love'
'Sixteen-year-old Clary Fray is an ordinary teenager, who likes hanging out in Brooklyn with her friends. But everything changes the night she witnesses a murder, committed by a group of teens armed with medieval weaponry. The murderous group are Shadowhunters, secret warriors dedicated to driving demons out of this dimension and back into their own. Drawn inexorably into a terrifying world, Clary slowly begins to learn the truth about her family - and the battle for the fate of the world.'

The City of Bones has been made into a film, starring Lily Collins as Clary, and Jamie Campbell Bower as mysterious demon hunter Jace. It is to be released on 21st August 2013, so there is not much longer to wait! I am very excited for the release of the film, as in the trailer it seems to me as though this film is going to do the book justice. Whether you watch the film or read the book, this story is not one to be missed and of corse there is that twist at the end to look forward to...

Want to buy the book it is available on Amazon and is also for sale in Waterstones, both at just £5.99.

Song Of The Week

Hi Guys,

It's my (Holly) turn again to choose Song Of The Week. This week I have chosen a song by a great band, which I only recently discovered, called Hellogoodbye. The band was formed in California in 2001 by their lead singer Forrest Kline, and has had many members over the years. Their first album was released in 2006 and was called 'Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs!'
The song I have chosen is from their most recent album, 'Would It Kill You?', and is called 'When We First Met'. They are a fun and humorous band who play ukuleles, what's not to love?
