Song Of The Week

Hey Guys,

It's Holly here with the Song of the week, the song this week is 'Could It Be Another Change' by The Samples. I first heard this song when I went to see the film, Perks Of Being A Wallflower. It was playing during the opening credits and I immediately liked it, in fact all the songs in Perks Of Being A Wallflower are great!

Song of the week

Hey Guys,

It's Daisy and the song I've chosen is 'Counting Stars' by OneRepublic. OneRepublic is an American rock band from Colorado Springs; which was formed in 2003 by Ryan Tedder (the lead singer) and Zach Filkins (lead guitarist), the band achieved commercial success on MySpace as an unsigned act.

I love this song just because it's just upbeat and cute; there isn't much more I can say about it.

The Fox

Hey Guys,

It's Daisy and I've found the most amazing song ever! I came across it on YouTube today and it's called 'The Fox' by Ylvis. Ylvis is a variety show group from Bergen, Norway, consisting of the two brothers Bard and Vegard Urheim Ylvisaker. The brothers originated from Sogn, but grew up in Bergen.
The song was originally made to promote their talk show and they had no idea how huge it would become - so go and check it out because it's brilliant!

Song Of The Week

Hey Guys,
Sorry I (Holly) am late posting the Song of the Week I have been super busy! The song I have chosen is by Alex Vass and is called 'The Greatest Story'. I really love this song because it tells you that no matter what people think of you, that you should stand up for who you are and stay true to yourself. I find this song really easy to relate to and I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I do.

New Book: It By Alexa Chung

Hey Guys,

It's Holly here! I am super excited about Alexa Chung's recently released book entitled 'It'. I have long admired Alexa Chung, who incase you didn't know already, is a model, TV presenter, author and contributing editor at Vogue. I have asked one of my good friends, Tabitha, for 'It' for my birthday and can't wait to get my hands on it!

The book is full of Alexa's doodles, photos, thoughts and inspirations. At age 16 Alexa was scouted as a model, this launched her into the world of fame and after 4 years she became a presenter for Channel 4. She even has a Mulberry Bag named after her!

Lush Products

Hey Guys,

It's Daisy, and I thought I'd tell you about my favourite Lush products; I actually don't know how much Holly uses Lush, but I absolutely love it and my mum doesn't understand how I can spend £3 on some soap.

So my go to soap that I always buy is the 'Ickle Baby Bot' which is made for sensitive skin, and the lady there actually said it was made for children but I love it.

The first time I got it was only because it looked like a robot, but it is surprisingly nice even if I am 15. I'm terrible at explaining smells or anything like that so i'll just copy what the Lush website says, 'All the essential oils in this ballistic have been selected for being soothing and calming for baby. Not only does this contain sleep-inducing oils, but everything has been selected to be mild, gentle and soothing for skin and any itchy bits.' Even though I don't have dry skin/eczema or anything like that I would suggest this to everybody just because it's so calming. Contains Lavender Oil.

I've only ever bought two bubble bars, 'FUN' (which I don't really like) and this one 'Creamy Candy', which I am loving so far; I take a little chunk off and use it as bubble bath soap. 'A sweet creamy candy-floss pink bath that's like a hug in a soft fluffy towel. This one is a girly night in. Makes you want to put on your cutest jammies, bounce on the bed and have a pillow fight. For those who know that youth and innocent glee are things never to be left behind.' Contains Vanilla.

This is the 'Butterball' bath bomb which is a tie between the 'Dragon's Egg' bath bomb (Contains Lemon Oil) as my favorite bath bomb. 'Hot bath water can sometimes leave you getting out of the bath dryer than you think. Put moisture back into your skin with this ballistic, so you can lie back, enjoy a long bath and top up that hot water as often as you like.' Contains Vanilla and Cocoa Butter.

Song of the week

Hey Guys,

It's Daisy and I feel like I haven't posted anything for ages. I've picked a song from the band Kodaline; Kodaline are a Dublin-based Irish alternative rock quartet, who were originally known as 21 Demands.
The song I've chosen is called 'Love Like This' from their debut album 'In a perfect world'.

Warner Brothers Studio Tour

Hey Guys,

As you know both of us have been to the Warner Bros tour and we loved it so much that we arranged to go again, but unfortunately after arranging it all Holly realised she was going to France (the lucky girl); so I, Daisy, went with two of my other friends!
I won't review the whole thing because I don't want give anything major away, but I thought I'd share with you some of the highlights.

Just before the tour first starts, the staff ask people to help them open the Great Halls doors but our 'group' were surprisingly shy, so nobody volunteered and it wasn't until I was on the train home I thought I should have done it because I couldn't care less if I embarrassed myself.
While we were in the Great Hall the staff were asking questions such as 'Who's in Hufflepuff' and because nobody was answering the thought that nobody knows me and I can do what I like kicked in and I shouted that I was in Hufflepuff (and no judging, it is a good house). Then later when asked who this character was - Hagrid - I again replied and my friends were so embarrassed by me they tried to hide, but failed ;)

Holly told me about these really cool 'passport' things where you have a list of hidden snitches you had to find and stamps you collected at different spots around the tour, which meant I started acting like a 5 year old rather than I 15 year old.

When riding the broomstick my friends stood watching while I was on it and again I managed to embarrassed them by getting really into it, I just really enjoyed the wind in my hair and feeling so naturally on a broom, I genuinely feel like I should be a wizard ;)

The last time I went the Hogwarts rickety bridge thing was closed but this time was open to walk on and I tried to go on it as much as I could while my friend Helen drank her Butterbeer and my other friend Tabitha and I discussed why we didn't like the drink.

This time round I found that I enjoyed the 'Creature Shop' the most where you saw the different stages of Goblin, Elfs, Werewolves and Sea things being made. I don't know why it appealed to me more this time round but I was fascinated by how the artist people could make a whole realistic face with just some plastic and glue.

Finally at the end of the tour I got a 'free' badge for being there in Summer spell week and continued to the gift shop where EVERYTHING was so overpriced; I was going to buy a Pygmy Puff but they were £25! In the end I bought a HoneyDukes chocolate bar and a Chocolate Frog but was disappointed to find that they weren't as nice as Galaxy or Cadbury :(

Overall it was so brilliant and I would definitely go again, especially in some sort of activity week because those would obviously be the better times to go. If you do end up going we hope you have a fantastic time just like we did.
